Malta is a very marvellous country and I hope that I come to this country when I’m older. My friends, my ount and my uncle have been there but I haven’t.They told me how great Malta is and my aunt went into raptures.I’m very sad about that. Here are some infos,so you can see how great Malta is:

Malta,officially the Republic of Malta, is a small and densely-populated island with seven islands, three of which are inhabited. It is located in the Mediterranean Sea and it is an insular state.

Throughout much of its history,Malta has been considered a cicual strategic location due in large part to its position in the Mediterranean Sea. It was held by several ancient cultures including Sicilians , Romans, Phoenicians, Byzantines and others. The island is commonly associated with the Knights of St. John who ruled it. This, along with the historic Biblical shipwreck of St. Paul on the island, ingrained the strong Roman Catholic legacy which is still the official and most practiced religion in Malta today

The country’s official languages are Maltese and English, the latter a legacy from Malta’s period as a british colony – the United Kingdom is the most recent outside ruling power. Malta gained independence in 1964 and is currently a member of rhe Commonwealth of Nations, as well as the European Union which it joined in 2004. Malta is independent from the United Kingdom since September 21 , 1964. Malta is a republic since December 13th, 1994.

Our sommer holidays in Croatia

In aur last sommer holidays, my parents , my sister and I went by car to Croatia. We sat 5 hours in the car till we could see our hotel. After we packed out our things , we went in the middle of the town. It was very nice there and the people were very friendly. After some time we went back into the hodel and went to bed.

The next day, early in the morning, we went to the sea. We saw lots of beautiful fish and I swallowed a lot of salt water. I like the sea because it is so big and you are not restrict.

The next days we did a lot of great activities and had much fun. I will never forget this holidays in croatia. I hope so , we’ll come to Croatia again.

My favourite sports

My favourite sports are: swimming,playing football, bicycling, swimming, tennis, hiking . . .

Every sunday I play football in a little village not far from my home. I meet my friens there and we have a lot of fun. Besides I traín my condition and it is a very good change.

About two weeks ago I did a tennis training for one week in the „Steiermarkt“. This improoved my tennis skills a lot. I hope that I can keep on doing this sport in the future at home.

In summer I often go to the open air swimming pool and when I’m not in the swimming poool I go cycling or hiking.

Our school trip to the concentration camp

On friday the 30th of May the forms 4a and 4d went during our history lessons to the former concentration camp in the so called „Mauthausen“. I was very shocked, when I saw how cruel and brutal the humans were treated.

There were not only people imprisoned,which were murderer or criminals, but there were people in the concentration camp, who didn’d d oanything wrong. For example jews or gay people. About 200.000 (!!!) people were arrested and about 100.000 diet a painful death. In the cancentration camp the people had to work all day and they had only a few lessons to sleep. To raise the permanent stress the convicts got to little food. Now we schould think more about other races and religions, because such a crime schould never happen agoin in any form.

SOSPOWO

SOSPOWO was a schol activity, which lasts fom 19th til 23th May. Every 4th-form in our secondary school went by bus to the so called „Niederöblarn“. There was a nice hotel,where we could stay. We could choose an activity,whichwe want to do the hole week. I choosed to play tennis. Now I can play quite good tennis and I will keep on doing this funny sport. It was very nice there and I think all the children we sad when we had to go back home. All in all, I had much fun and I will probably never forget this week in Niederöblarn.

My new pet

My pet is a super sweet, young tomcat and we call him „Balu“. His fur is not

only soft and long but also grey and white.My family got him from a big farm in the mountains not far away from our home. Balu had a sister („Black Minki)

but she lost a fight between her and a car.The hole family was very sad about that tragedy.The next day, early in the morning, my father and I took the dead, bloody corpse and buried it into a hole in a wood near our village(R.I.P. Rest In Peace).Now it is over and I’m happy

that Balu is alive.

This is tragic story of two bzw.one cat. I hope that my cat will have a happy and long life without an accident.

Hi there my name is Manuel Grubner and I´m 14 years old.I live in a little village called Steinakirchen in Lower Austria . In english we would call it „Stone church“ . I´m happy there , because the people are friendly and all my friends live around me.I live together with my family. My family is my sister and my parents. In summer I go swimming in the public swimmingpool and I meet my friends. Winter I love too because my birthday is on Dec 13th and I’m looking forward to it. My hobbies are playing soccer, swimming, have fun with friends and a lot more. I’m afraid I must go to school, in Wieselburg, but that’s okay. My fovourite subjects are P.E, history and biology.

Now I hope you know more about me and my cheerful life in the little village Steinakirchen.
